This place is disgusting. Not only does it look ran down the windows are dirty the tables the bathroom was filthy. When I finally got my food it had a piece of hair in it!!!! They look like they just hire anybody off the street. Don't go unless you want food poisoning.
The food is great. Not your usual diner fare. There are many multi-cultural dishes on the menu. The service is alright too.
Our waitress was fantastic. The food was not. Our Salmon Benedict was un-refined and bland with bad home fries, and the biscuits and gravy was one terrible biscuit with little gravy. The coffee was....coffee. Convenient parking though.
I had the lunch special, shank of lamb. Meat was falling off the bone. I enjoyed it very much. Our server was a little slow but she was very friendly and the rest of the staff made up for the inconvenience. I would definitely eat here again.
Good food at affordable prices very clean and nice workers
The wait staff are awesome. They greet you with a smile all the time. The food is prepared exactly as you ordered and the prices are reasonable. The ambiance and atmosphere make it a great diner.
The food is good the customer service is good the vibe is pretty cool and they're open 24 hours you can't beat that. They might not have everything on the menu though so have a second option. If you need a venue to host a small event they have space for that.
Good visit, everything was good except for watery grits. Love the breakfast n lunch here.
New owners supposedly. Caribbean waitresses. Service was ok but slow. Food was the same, but got pricey. They got order wrong, but was expected when my waitress first spoke. They are there for the black community now
We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was empty so we were seated quickly. We were greeted almost immediately by our server and started with just some coffee. We decided on scrambled eggs with cheese, grits and Canadian bacon. I asked for cheddar with my eggs but I don't think that's what I got. I only eat cheddar on my eggs so unless it was some exotic, overseas and organic cheddar, that wasn't cheddar. It was very bitter and tart and I just wound up scraping it off my eggs so I could get through my meal. It tasted between provolone ans swiss. But the rest of the meal was enjoyable. Despite the heat wave outside it was comfortable inside and as customers began to trickle in you could see this was a favorite local spot. The restroom was clean and well stocked with paper towels and tissue. And we were even gifted a small box of cookies when we left.
The diner is permanently closed. The property was sold to developers in January for $10 million.
Good food at good prices that won't hurt your wallet. The wait staff is always eager to help with suggestions and substitutions. The bathrooms can be better maintained. Aside from what I mentioned all I can say is give them a try.
We had a great time and the food was good.
Stopped here for a bite to eat on the way home from NYC, it’s right off the highway. The service was ok. The place is a little odd. The staff was slow going with everything, but they did a good job of accommodating our requests eventually. The 3 stars is because all of the breakfast food is bland. The pancakes, omelettes, home fries, etc., all have very little flavor. Salt & pepper helps, but it’s all missing something. Overall, if you’re hungry and want decent food, this place is for you. If you have time, and a picky palette, perhaps look for a different diner.
Great atmosphere. Good food.
Oh boy oh oh boy. Where do i start. Overpriced food. I ordered a burger which i must say was not bad going down. But 10 minutes later sent me straight to the bathroom. Never going back ever again.
The wait service was very dissatisfying. The food was bland had no taste. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
The omelette I ordered was an avocado, tomato, and cilantro omelette, but the chef doesn't add the cilantro because he doesn't want to. Otherwise, good place. Nothing special. Regular diner.
Ok so why are we sitting here and we still dont have our food never mind the fact that half the kitchen staff left for the day and we cant order what we want for dinner. The garnish is dead the corn looks sick the salmon was good (the one star) the mash potato was bland the windows are dusty and dirty the waitress is drunk just a bad experience all together come on guys do better. Oh before I forget I didnt know a salad consist of 3 tomatoes 3 cucumbers and 5 first fulls of lettuce.
25 hour diner. Great if you wanna get get breakfast at the late hours after a club or bar. Prices are ok
Great food, service is good, I love the Bronx Special Breakfast, 3 meats, and your choice of Waffle, Pancakes, or French Toast.
So I went and ordered some fries and mozzarella sticks and 1st the mozzarella sticks were undercooked and 2nd as I'm eating my fries I notice they tasted stale, then I notice towards the bottom of the aluminum plate some fries that had ketchup on them. I at no time put ketchup on my fries. They gave me someone's leftover stale French fries! I've been noticing that the quality of their food is decreasing steadily but this, this is an all time low for them, they have officially lost my business and I recommend that people just not waste their time or money at this diner anymore. Food prices are ridiculous and the food is definitely not worth getting someone's leftovers.
This diner is good for sit downs, if you're looking for order and go DON'T DO IT...you pay same price for much shockingly smaller portions.
Got lost gettin in the parking lot. Place ended up bein closed. Its 3 am :/
Would have gave them a 5 star but my streak was burned
Pancakes are great. Home potatoes need work. Everything was over-priced. $32.28 for pancakes and a turkey sandwich
Besides the food being bland, my husband and I have never felt so uncomfortable. I believe it was the owner who came out and stared at us as if we were not gonna pay and just walk out of the restaurant. He did not leave at all until we left. Point being, I never ever leave reviews but we have never ever felt this uncomfortably. We are definitely not going back ever again. In the future, I hope people are treated with more respect and that he is at least discreet when securing the diner.
The food was ok, but not amazing. It was a little pricey considering.
Best kept secret in the Bronx. Lee is the best waitress. The food and service is always excellent. I have been a customer for the past 20 yrs.
They could have added a little more sausage to my egg scramble, no big deal though. I liked to window paintings, very festive. The waiter was also very nice. I also liked to signed Jet's jersey even though I am a patriots fan.
Good food, great service nice comfortable place. My son and I go here when I want to just enjoy a good meal and spend some time with him and not at home in front of the t.v. or on any other device.
Decent food at a reasonable price
They offer grits with their breakfasts. Love grits & I don't know another diner in the neighborhood that offers grits.
Only good thing in here was the waitress! She was very attentive but the breakfast here taste like hospital food.. Sorry my followers wish I could've said something positive about this diner but can't.
Good food and good service. Very spacious.
Food and service very good. Able to accommodate large parties with little notice.A very good updated diner with extensive menu.
Great service good food will definitely recommend
Good service, not bad diner but not good either. Food is ok. Prices are little higher.
Great food and drinks. The portions are huge so you get a lot for your money. Staff is very attentive. Bathroom is also clean and there's free parking available.
Great for a late night meal stop in the Bx. It sits right off exit 10 on I-95 north. Not a truck stop, a family friendly environment.
Good place nice service good no hony for yogurt but otherwise good atmosphere service excellence
If you ever need to cater an event in the Bronx, this is that place. The food and service was top notch.
Nice diner, full menu plenty of parking. Food was good prices good. Staff friendly restaurant was clean. Rooms for parties on premises. Breakfast ,lunch, dinner, a nice place to dine for either
The food was okay. But felt like something was lacking. But it was a family day so I got past the lacking part.
Their service sucked, wait staff nowhere to be found when needing a refill of coffee. The waitress shirt was dirty n we were there bright and early for breakfast so the stains on her uniform were from days prior! Furthermore, the booths needed dusting. Place looks nice at first glance, however, once we were seated as we waited for our orders couldnt help but notice the dusty ledges n edges everywhere. The food was ok.
It was freezing in the place, and food had to go back because it was cold. That was just for the holiday so maybe things were pre done, but regular orders off menu was good. I would still eat on a regular day.
Late night and convenient. Food is pretty good. I mostly order breakfast. The use to serve hashbrowns or French fries with their bronx breakfast. They since have stopped. What a bummer.
The table was dirty where they sat us. It was fully stocked but not clean and was broken. Just makes me Wonder if they have other things they don't clean. However, food is good. Menu lots of variety. Service is good too.
Let me start off by saying this was 5am .The food was horrible😢😢 they only had one cook. I ordered the grits eggs and sausage platter the grits was watery and the cheese on the eggs was not sliced cheese it tasted like Velveeta spread . my stomach don't feel well after eating that food I would not recommend this Diner at all.
